Lime, Natural Renders & Plasters
We are so excited to launch this very, very special render-bender workshop! To date, we’ve never run a workshop only commited to plasters & renders, but this is the one!
Do you want to learn how to mix and apply your own non-toxic wall coverings? Maybe you want to add a feature wall in your home, maybe you have a natural home which needs some TLC, whatever the reason, there’s a lot to learn at this workshop!
We will be teaching how to identify wild clay, how to prepare that clay, and then sharing many different recipes for you to try with us on-site in small run batches, for everyone to apply and feel how differently they perform. You’ll also get comfortable with operating a cement mixer, and how to mix the perfect batches every time.
PLUS large scale plastering on:
Applying finish lime plaster to our large on-site SuperAdobe Dome
2 coats of Lime plaster on our large SuperAdobe retaining wall
This workshop is for those very interested in the wonderful world of Natural Plasters and their many different applications and appearances
Also, this will be a great weekend to dip your toe in the Natural Building world, with jobs which aren’t too strenuous on the body, with minimal heavy lifting or pounding.
All meals and camping included, please bring your tent and sleeping gear to make yourself comfortable.
